Swiss-type Automatic Lathe is also called CNC PRECISION AUTOMATIC LATHE. The traditional lathe uses the method of moving the tool, and the machining process of the parts is achieved by the rotation of the main shaft and the movement of the tool in all directions.
- What is the working principle of Swiss machining?The machine tools do not need to rotate and switch, just move the tools up and down, left and right, and the parts can be processed through the rotation and movement of the spindle, and can be fed multiple times. Therefore, compared with the traditional lathe, the Swiss-type Automatic Lathe through the method of the center guide sleeve, can achieve a higher precision and has a greater advantage for machining of slender shaft parts.
When moving, it can move according to the direction of Z2, X2 and C2 axes, and can move freely in various directions. The machining on the corresponding tool holder is performed on the secondary axis, and a special control channel separate from the main axis is used during machining, which can achieve complementary intervention with the main axis. In the actual application process, the two axes need to be processed at the same time, and this way of operation can effectively shorten the overall processing efficiency of the product.
- What are its advantages of Swiss machining?
1) One clamping without stopping the spindle can turn parts with a length of more than 200mm. If you are turning a part with a length of 5mm, you can use either tradition lathe or Swiss-type automatic lathe, but you can turn 20~30 parts in one go before you need to stop and feed using Swiss-type automatic lathe.
2) When machining, the Swiss-type automatic lathe cutting tool is always at the closest position to the material, so the rigidity is very good. When you think about your lathe clamping the part, the tool sticks to the clamping position for just a few mm to turn, how good would the rigidity be!
3) The Swiss-type automatic lathe is a combination of turning and milling. The complexity of one-time processing and forming is not comparable to tradition lathe, which we commonly call a cam machine lathe. And now CNC automatic lathes, the spindle Z moves forward and backward, and the tools can move X and Y, which can achieve three-dimensional machining and one-time processing.
